Starting a pizza place, Part 2: Sauce, cheese, thickness

https://youtu.be/AQJXb1AQ5F4?si=IXt3qzEefCnYg8KR

What this video is

This is video no.2 in a series where a YouTuber Chef (Adam) documents the process of starting a pizza shop with a friend and donut-shop owner. The unique thing is that they are attempting to use the donut cooking space as a pizza shop utilising some bits of both the restaurant and the kitchen—optimising the whole thing.

Why I like it

The video is honest and pragmatic. They're doing this for the love of pizza, they're using donut dough as the starter for pizza dough! This video particularly documents navigating trial and error for (commercial) recipe development. The pizza endeavour—as Adam admits—is unlikely to be that economically viable; Adam is using his YouTube money for the product development. It also provides insight into what running a commercial food service might be like. It's such an intriguing mix of science, economics (optimisation) and love. I also just love pizza and particularly want to taste this odd, optimised and American pizza.

Lil Yachty & James Blake on Songs That Make Them Cry, Drake's Habits & Fatherhood | Complex Cover

What this video is

A dialogue, mainly about music, between James Blake & Lil Yachty over 25 mins.

Why I like it

I don't think that this video is as interesting to people who aren't fans of these both

2025 Porsche 911 992.2 | Bigger Engine, Electric Turbo

What this video is

This video is also no.2 in a series about the 2025 Porsche 911. This video details the technical updates to the new 911—mainly the engine. It's mainly an interview between an American car guy and some very German engineers.

Why I like this video

It's just so technical and in a detailed way. It caters to one type of person and it does so excellently (I'm one of those people). It excellently explains the Carrera T's new hybrid power unit system to which I exclaimed "but that's an MGU-H!" Firstly, because well, I'm slightly obsessed with optimising energy usage and this is one of the coolest ways that it's done. Secondly, because Porsche and Audi were rumoured to have asked F1 to remove the MGU-H from the formula if they were to join. This was on the grounds that it would've been prohibitively expensive for them to develop. https://www.planetf1.com/news/mgu-h-scrapped-audi-porsche-2026

WORLD'S BEST AIR FRIES (Weird Trick, But It Works!)

https://youtu.be/yw--NLjZBNk?si=HWeYuGD8apnB5C68

What this video is

A video about how to make air fries (chips).

Why I like this video

Mainly the production value. These people cut an air fryer in half and then animated it in real time—while updating the visuals of the food that is being cooked. The stages of the recipe are also well documented with graphics. I like the recipe as it's also unashamed: it tells you what to do and when & furthermore, warns of the consequences of not doing what it suggests. It's sassy. I'm yet to try the recipe as I do not own an air fryer.
